What a year the RV industry has experienced!!

It started last September when the banks tightened up retail financing and it was almost impossible to get an RV loan, no matter how good your credit was!! What happened next to the RV dealers was the wholesale flooring rates increased dramatically then a demand that the loans to be paid in full by last June. This demand from banks on dealers added to slower sales forced most dealers to reduce inventories and some to close up completely. This slow down in sales and close of dealerships caused the RV manufactures to reduce manufacturing and they were also required to buy bank inventories from the dealers returned stock!! The reduced production and buy back of inventories caused many RV manufactures to file for bankruptcy or cut expenses drastically!! This has finally slowed down and stopped a year later.

Great things are now starting to happen; banks have loosened their grip and are financing customers with reasonable rates. We are now seeing a stabilization in manufacturing, dealers and customers looking to get back into the RV lifestyle. It is about time!!
