2009
will be a year to remember!
The down economy, high unemployment and especially the auto
and RV industry hitting an almost all time low. I did some research
and found the following information that is very interesting.

73.2 percent drop in motorhome retail sales
53.9 percent drop in towable retail sales
22 motorhome manufacturers went out of business
22 towable makers went out of business
2005 THROUGH SEPTEMBER
2009
72.9 percent drop in motorhome retail
sales
52.8 percent drop in towable retail sales
10 motorhome manufacturers went out of business
8 towable makers went out of business

It has been a tough year or years for many auto and RV facilities
that were not prepared for this type of economic conditions.
Compound this with the banks demanding dealers to pay off bank
loans within 120 days, caused even great dealers to cease business.
Family RV Inc. once again has with stood this test of time
by giving our customers the services that they are looking for
at a price they can afford. Although our number of staff is
smaller we still offer the same renown service to all of our
customers.
We have seen over the last year that our customers still preferred
the RV lifestyle with a continued great rental season matching
that of 2008.
Service has also showed another strong year with the addition
of great ad on products and service item specials!
Sales was the weaker part of the business with decline of more
than 50 % less than the sales figures of 2008.
Considering all of these factors, Family RV is still strong
because of the cost cutting efforts and the efficiency of the
business model. We are still here to serve you as we have done
in the past.
We do appreciate the past business and I believe that 2010 we
will see a rebound in sales and once again a strong business
in rental and service.
We have just signed another 10 year lease here so we are ready
when you are!
I wish you, your family and friends health, happiness and a
successful 2010 and beyond.
Thanks for reading my story,
Alan
